Macaron Heaven & Co

Macaron Heaven & Co are a bespoke dessert boutique specialising in French Macarons and high-end dessert tables, and if that description alone doesn’t have your mouth watering than the deliciously beautiful images on their brand new website sure will.

As an already well established business running primarily through social media, our goal was to create a website that would allow both new and existing customers to see all that Macaron Heaven & Co had to offer as well as get answers to those frequently asked questions, meaning Eman could spend less time in her inbox and more time in the kitchen doing what she loves.

It was an absolutely dream creating this website and as amazing as the images are, my absolute favourite part is by far the about page and the beautiful story they share of why Macaron Heaven & Co was created, a must read!

Branding & Moodboard

Macaron Heaven & Co already came well equiped with a beautiful logo which we were able to work backwards from to create the look and feel we were wanting to achieve from the website. We wanted to create a website that was not only fun and inspirational but that could also showcase the high-end, professional level of service offered.

Website Design

When designing the website I wanted to put the most emphasis on the photos of all the delicious desserts that Macaron Heaven & Co had to offer. Another key item was also in showcasing the variety of desserts available, far more than just macarons.

I am so happy with how this website turned out. Not only was Eman a dream client, having everything organised, written and ready to go from day one of the project, but she took the time to provide precise feedback which moved the project along so swimmingly that we even finished a few days early giving us plenty of time to make sure everything was absolutely perfect for the big launch.

Interview with Eman, Macaron Heaven & Co

How did you discover your passion for what you do? & How did you get to where you are today in your business?

My love for baking started from an early age. one of my fondest memories is staying up till the early hours of the morning baking and decorating Eid cookies with my sisters to celebrate the end of Ramdan - A time filled with laughter, joy, and happiness. From then on I always enjoyed baking for my family and friends celebrations. It was a hobby for a long time, and only turned into business when I gave birth to my second daughter and decided i didn't want to go back to full-time work.

What's the hardest lesson you've learned since starting your business?

Turning my passion for baking into a business was a huge learning curve. My work is no longer limited to what I produce in the kitchen, I quickly learnt that I had to wear multiple hats at once; the customer service, the designer, the baker, the accountant, the delivery person, the social media guru and more. You have to learn to grow very quickly, adapt and learn as you go.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting their own business?

I would highly recommend doing a crash course on small business to get an idea of the different areas in a business and how to set things up the right way from the start. I would also recommend connecting with other small business owners. entrepreneurship can be very lonely road at time so make sure you have the right people around you to support you and push you forward.

At what point in your business did you realise that it was time to up-level and launch or redesign your website?

I realised it was time to build a website when the number of enquiry Email I’ve been receiving was becoming abit challenging to manage. I realised then the volume of incoming email can be substantially reduced if my customer can access a website that detailed all our products and services. At the same time I started working with some high profile brands and businesses and I wanted to project a professional image for my business and for this a website was a necessity.

Why did you ultimately decide to work with us for your website restyle or custom design?

I decided to work with Bridie Designs for my website because after the initial chat with Teri-Ann I felt she was the right person. She was friendly, professional and understood my vision. This was later confirmed by the follow up Email from Teri-Ann which captured the feel I was going for and the functionalities I wanted on my website.

How did you find the process of designing your new website with us, and how do you feel your new website will impact your business?

I really loved working with Bridie Design on this project.
1) The whole process was laid out in detail and very professional manner.
2) The client portal was very easy to work with. All the documents and Emails can be accessed from one place which reduces the chance of confusion.
3) The design process went very smooth with plenty of opportunities to give feedback.
4) The project was completed a head of schedule. Which was a nice surprise.
5) I was very pleased with my website. It really captures the feel and functionalities I wanted.
I cannot recommend Bridie Designs enough. Superb job!! With a well designed website I’m certain the number of unnecessary enquiries will reduce substantially. I’m also looking forward to attracting new clients outside of social media.
